WHY MINDFULNESS IN THE WORKPLACE?
In today's globalised world, employees are subjected to evolving landscapes which require them to manage multiple stressors simultaneously. Stress is a mounting issue in today's society and is a key contributing factor to many forms of physical and mental diseases. The workshop introduces the concept of mindfulness into organisations. It covers how mindfulness can be applied in the workplace and within the context of work. It helps one to define the role of self in overcoming challenges and managing stress when circumstances change. The workplace is where most people spend a third of their "awake" hours maximising their creativity and potential, hence there is value in fostering a positive work culture with happy, healthy and engaged employees.

WHY FAMILY-LIFE-WORK BALANCE?

Parenting stress is often carried to work and eventually robs employees of their concentration and productivity. It is important to equip parents in the workplace with an understanding of the importance of resiliency in their children’s and family lives. School children presently face multiple adversities daily from many areas in their lives: school, home and social situations. It is crucial to equip parenting skills that would enable them to achieve flourishing relationships with their babies, other caregivers as well as between spouses. And in today's modern, high-stress environment, executives and corporate teams need that extra edge in order to perform up to their highest potential.
The ‘Science of Success’ workshop aims to provide all ACG participants a starting point with the scientific principles of applied sport / performance sciences, so that follow-up coaching/training sessions can then focus on their specific needs and issues.
